There is no doubt: The survival of rural villages is in danger. Every year more and more people are moving from small towns to big cities. Nowadays there are 2 realities: villages that have disappeared and villages that are about to disappear.
Small villages are integrated into the natural environment, often they are just a small speck in the landscape. The forest, the river, the vineyard. Each piece in its place, and everything fits together so that life can take its course.

Our event organization company in Barcelona and Catalonia contemplates a reality very different from the general one. They are municipalities of less than 1,000 inhabitants, or with no nucleus of more than 500 or rural towns with continuous loss of population.

The festival of murals and rural art was born with the aim of giving the village an injection of life and to combat depopulation. The initiative, which aims to disseminate artistic culture in the rural world, has made Penelles a benchmark. With a hundred murals distributed throughout the village, local and international artists are valued, promoted and given visibility.
